Our purpose is to help readers make informed decisions. Accuracy, transparency and practical usefulness come before commercial opportunity.

Our editorial principles
- Reader first: recommendations should solve a genuine need or clarify a difficult choice.
- Evidence over hype: important claims are checked against current specifications, platform information and authoritative sources.
- Clear limitations: we distinguish hands-on testing from research-led editorial assessment.
- Meaningful alternatives: we explain when a cheaper, older or competing product may be the better choice.
- Commercial independence: affiliate relationships do not determine verdicts, scores or rankings.
How products are assessed
The criteria depend on the product category. Headsets are commonly assessed for display and optics, performance, comfort, content library, mixed reality, battery life, storage and value. Accessories are assessed for compatibility, comfort, build quality, usefulness and whether they improve the experience enough to justify their cost.
Scores are editorial summaries, not laboratory measurements. We show category-level reasoning so readers can decide whether our priorities match their own.
Research-led reviews
Some reviews are based on official technical information, platform documentation, current availability and the established software ecosystem rather than direct long-term testing. These pages carry a visible review-transparency note. We do not invent personal experience, test results or performance measurements.
Hands-on testing
When a product has been tested directly, the article should explain the testing context, relevant equipment, duration and important limitations. We aim to test the use cases that matter to readers, not simply repeat marketing claims.
Sources and fact checking
Primary sources—such as manufacturers, platform owners and developers—are preferred for specifications, compatibility, features and availability. Independent sources may be used for context, comparisons or claims that require outside scrutiny. Prices and deals are time-sensitive and should be checked at the retailer before purchase.
Affiliate links, samples and sponsorship
Affiliate links may generate commission at no extra cost to the reader. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or affect the outcome of a review. If a product is supplied free of charge, loaned for review or covered in paid sponsored content, that relationship should be disclosed clearly and prominently.
Sponsored material will be labelled so that its commercial nature is obvious. It will not be presented as an independent review.
Corrections and updates
VR changes quickly. We update material when specifications, availability or recommendations change materially. Minor spelling or formatting fixes may be made without a separate note. Substantive corrections should be reflected in the article and its update date where appropriate.
AI-assisted work
Technology may assist with research organisation, drafting or editing, but published claims and recommendations remain subject to editorial review. AI-generated text is not treated as a source, and we do not knowingly publish invented quotations, testing or credentials.
Feedback
Readers can report a possible error or raise an editorial concern through the site’s Contact page. We review credible corrections and update material when the evidence supports a change.
